Meet Sarah Leonard. Sarah received her Masters of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Hartford and is currently completing a dual residency program at Adaptive Prosthetics & Orthotics, LLC in Connecticut. Sarah has a degree in Engineering but once she found out that the O&P field would allow her to work with her hands, interact with others, and problem solve, she was sold! It was an article shared with her by her grandfather about the iLimb that initially sparked her interest. Sarah clearly remembers the first time she watched a recent amputee take their first steps post-op, the joy they had and the difference a device could make in their life. This winter, Sara had the opportunity to volunteer with Skiers Unlimited, where she helped teach disabled children and their families how to ski.
